Statutory Declaration Under Section 4(1)(b) of the RTI Act, 2005
The Right to Information Act, 2005 (Act No. 22 of 2005), enacted by the Parliament and effective from June 15, 2005, grants citizens the right to access information held by public authorities. This Act promotes transparency and accountability in the functioning of these authorities. Under the Act, public authorities include all universities and colleges established by parliamentary or state legislature laws, those notified by the appropriate government, and those owned, controlled, or substantially financed directly or indirectly by government funds.
CSI College of Engineering operates in full compliance with the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005. Section 4(1)(b) of the RTI Act, 2005, pertains to the statutory declaration of CSI College of Engineering, Ketti, The Nilgiris. As a co-educational institution, CSI College of Engineering is formally registered under the Societies Act by the Government of Tamil Nadu and is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. The College is recognized under Section 2(f) & 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956, and approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
Operating as a “Private – Self-Financing” institution, CSI College of Engineering’s financial operations are audited by private accounting firms. The College also maintains various internal bodies and committees to ensure campus discipline and efficient operations.
Citizens of India may seek information regarding the activities of CSI College of Engineering. Requests must be submitted in writing and should include the applicant’s name, address, contact telephone number, and the specific information sought. It is not necessary to provide a reason for the information request.
The duly signed request, accompanied by a fee of ₹10/-, should be addressed to the Public Information Officer (PIO), CSI College of Engineering. Payment can be made via postal order or demand draft, payable to the Principal, CSI College of Engineering, or by direct submission at the PIO’s office.
