Projects

Graduates and postgraduates of Electrical and Electronics Engineering are capable of handling challenging jobs in a wide range of industries and engage themselves in research and development.

The department has Power electronics, Electric Machines, Control & Instrumentation, and Research Laboratories in addition to Electrical Workshop. Each laboratory is equipped with instruments and equipment for teaching, learning, and research. The members of the faculty are encouraged to acquire higher qualifications at the Post-graduate level and Doctorate level. They are deputed to participate in seminars, symposia, workshops etc., to keep abreast of the vast changes and developments in Science and Technology. Special guest lectures by senior members of the faculty, from well-known institutions of higher learning, experts, and professionals from established corporate and industrial houses complement and supplement the instruction and training and enrich the knowledge of students in the subjects concerned.

Vision

To develop the department into a center of learning and research in various fields of Electrical Engineering in becoming a front-runner in bringing out globally competent electrical and electronics engineers, innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs and thereby contribute knowledge-based value to the society.

Mission

The Department of Electrical Engineering supports the mission of the Institution through teaching, research, and service. To afford state-of-the-art resources that contribute to achieving excellence in teaching-learning, research, and development activities. To bridge the gap between industry and academia by opting for electives and conducting value-added training based on industrial and societal needs. To enable students to develop skills to solve complex technological problems of current times and also provide a framework for promoting collaborative and multidisciplinary activities. To inculcate moral and ethical values among the faculty and students with the utmost concern for the development of green energy.

Mr.P.Sankar.B.E.,M.E.,(PhD).,the Head of the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was awarded with Bachelor degree from the Bharathiar University, Coimbatore in the year 2000. He completed his Post Graduation(ME Power Electronics And Drives) from Karunya Institute of Technology,coimbatore in the year 2006.Currently he is pursuing Doctoral Degree in Anna University, Chennai. He is a life member of the Indian Society of Technical Education(ISTE), New Delhi and fellow member of Institution of Engineers(IET), fellow member of Institute of Green Engineers(IGEN) .
